Sometimes we need to just stop thinking
Churning stuff over and over in our mind, weighing up this and that, considering all the consequences, downfalls and dangers, must eventually stop. Overthinking creates indecision, fickleness and uncertainty.
There comes a time when we must act
This is especially the case when our overthinking is causing stagnation. It could well be that the consequences of our inaction, far outweigh the consequences, of action.
So learning how to still the mind, bringing it under control, is an important start
Simply arresting the process of overthinking before we act could be all that’s needed. Sometimes though, we do need to understand how our thinking is causing our failure or stagnation. Raising our awareness of the nature of our thoughts is part of this process.
